Two authentic John Tabraham club chairs, fully restored with new full grain leather and the sapele mahogany wood stripped and newly sealed.
The original chairs came with bonded leather, which we replaced with the thickest (3,2 mm) veg-dyed leather available in South Africa, from one of the oldest tanneries, Leather from Heart, in Pietermaritzburg.
Veg-tanned leather is the ancient art of tanning leather with vegetable based tanning agents, such as bark extracts and oils. This natural method creates an incredibly strong material that develops its own unique patina with age, making such leather perfect for creating pieces that last. The leather has a strong organic feel.
John Tabraham is widely regarded as South Africa's top mid-century modern furniture designer.

Returns. Huisraad Modern has a fourteen-day return policy. A refund will be done by Huisraad Modern within ten working days of the return of the product, on condition that it is in the condition that it left our shop, and that it has been shipped on or before the fourteenth working day after the sale has been concluded.
